Not able to make it to Celebrate Resurrection this year and looking for more information about what has happened in our network over the past year? Check out Resurrection Brooklyn’s Annual Report. Filled with financials, ministry highlights and an overview of the year from each congregation, it is a great glimpse at all that God has done for us in 2016/2017.
Saturday, April 8, from 6 PM – 10 PM @ Jay Street Central Space
The Via Dolorosa (often referred to as the Stations of the Cross) is a series of images depicting Jesus Christ along the “Way of Suffering” on the day of His Crucifixion, followed by his Resurrection. To commemorate this event, we will be hosting a gallery show and silent auction presented by the RPS Arts Ministry.
This special presentation of the Via Dolorosa will be a night when everyone can walk through the stations of art, music and story. The artists of Resurrection Brooklyn have created their own “images” based on a particular scripture verse … but in this case, it’s more than what you might have seen in a traditional setting. These “stations” have been created by a storyteller, a poet, photographers, graphic and mixed media artists, a musician, painters, and even a pastry artist! The works displayed will be for sale via a silent auction and 20% of the proceeds will be donated to the Arts Ministry and the Mercy Team at Resurrection Brooklyn.
The Finance Ministry is hosting a one-day workshop titled God and “Your” Money designed for those interested in growing in their understanding of biblical financial principles. The workshop will cover the theology of stewardship and how it applies to the concepts of income, giving, spending, saving, and debt.
Everyone is invited to attend regardless of financial situation and we’re hoping for a diversity of lifestyles and incomes to enrich the conversations. Whether you’re barely getting by or are ready to build from a strong foundation, the principles and practical applications discussed will help grow your understanding of your finances and God’s plan for them.
